Yes! Hillel events aim to be inclusive to members of varying levels of religious observance. Your level of Judaism will not affect your enjoyment of our events; we have events geared to fit the needs of all students. As the pluralistic space on campus, there are provisions and options to participate for all levels of observance! Don't be shy!

Yes! Anyone who is interested in Judaism, Israel, or Jewish culture is always welcome at Hillel! We love meeting new people!

See our contact page or email Director Jeff Greenberg for more information!

There is some Kosher food available in town.
See our Kosher food page for details.

If you have an in-class test on Shabbat or a Jewish holiday, first speak with your professor. Professors are usually accommodating for religious observance. If you have a final exam on Shabbat or a Jewish holiday, speak with the university registrar regarding rescheduling an exam. You should do this as early as possible - and at LEAST two weeks in advance. If you have any questions or concerns, email Jeff.

See our page regarding synagogues in Waterloo.

Please contact Jeff, the Director of Hillel as soon as possible. It is important that every incident goes reported to the national office, so we know how we can effect change on campus or in the city. You can be a part of solving this serious problem on campus.
