He grew up surfing the waves in Southern California, then after high school went off to Israel to learn. He graduated rabbinical school in Israel at the age of 24. He's an avid rock climber and a cool family man. Most Rabbis won't touch the topics we are about to... we are planning on running bi-weekly sessions covering a variety of out-of-the-box themes. This is your opportunity to chill, listen, and ask questions you've always contemplated, but never had the opportunity to actually talk to a Rabbi about. Hillel Waterloo is having its annual opening BBQ. Kosher hot dogs and burgers, corn on the cob, and much more will be available for munching. Soft drinks, beer (for those who are of age), and water will be available for drinking. This is a great chance for everyone to meet some of the new Hillel Waterloo Exec for the upcoming school year. Also, we will be opening applications for other positions on our Executive Board for the year. We are looking for some VOLUNTEERS to participate at the Laurier Get Involved Fair on SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2011 from 10:00am-2:00pm! this essentially entails sitting at a table and telling everyone how FANTASTIC Hillel is. Do you have a secret love of brunch? Do you want help preparing for those ghastly finals? Hillel is here to help! On Sunday April 3rd, Hillel is hosting free bagel brunch and study aid for those seeking tutoring assistance. We have tutors for general study, exam (approach to multiple choice and short answer), and writing skills. There will be mentors to provide co-op tips and resume/ cover letter review. We will also be providing course specific tutoring (BU121, BU247, BU275, CH111, BI111, KP122, CS100, CS101, PS100, French, Computer Science, and MA129 just to name a few).
