Hillel and Chabad invite you to Waterloo's best Simchat Torah party. Let's get ready to dance!
Simchat Torah is THE day for unbridled happiness, dancing with reckless abandon and ridiculously celebrating our identity as Jews. There will be food and L'chaims in abundance to fuel the action. We dance with a closed Torah, to demonstrate that it's not a day for showing off how much you know or how religious you are - we may have different minds, but our feet all dance the same! S'all about the Jewnity. No matter what kind of Jew you call yourself, this party is for you.
THURSDAY, SIMCHAT TORAH EVENING
8:00 — Candle lighting and Maariv (evening) service.
8:30 — Buffet dinner, bountiful open bar, and Hakafot dancing!!!
No end time.
FRIDAY, SIMCHAT TORAH DAY:
10:30 AM — Shacharit (morning) service.
11:30 AM — Kiddush lunch, more open bar, Hakafot dancing, reading of the very last section of the Torah and a grand marathon to roll it back to the beginning and reading the first section. Did we mention L'chaims?
