Hillel, the Waterloo Regional Jewish Community Centre (WRJCC), the United Israel Appeal (UIA), and the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) would like to welcome you to enjoy and enlightening discussion with Justus Weiner, senior attorney at the Israel Ministry of Justice and Scholar-in-Residence at the Jerusalem Centre for Public Affairs. Mr. Weiner will discuss the human rights trends within the emerging Palestinian state and his involvement in the process of achieving religious freedom for Palestinian Christians.

Holocaust Education Week is an annual week during which Hillel Waterloo enables and facilitates awareness and education of one of the darkest times in the history of humanity. Holocaust Education Week 2010 runs from Monday, November 8 to Friday, November 12.

Monday, November 8
12pm: Memorial march through the Quad and the Concourse at Wilfred Laurier University.
Black attire should be worn. Memorial candles will be available to light, and event cards for the rest of the week's events will be available.

Tuesday, November 9
11am–2pm: Tabling in WLU's Concourse. Donations will be accepted, and event cards will be available.
7pm: Judy Cohen, a Holocaust survivor, will be speaking at BA201 in WLU's Bricker Academic Building.

Wednesday, November 10
11am–2pm: Tabling in University of Waterloo's Student Life Centre. Donations will be accepted, and event cars will be available.
9pm: Screening of the film Life is Beautiful in WLU's 24 Lounge. For more information about the film, see here.

Thursday, November 11
7pm: General panel discussion at UW MC2017. The emphasis of the discussion will be on tolerance.

Friday, November 12
6:30pm: Shabbat dinner at the Hillel Latner Centre. The dinner will have a traditional Eastern European theme. Stories will be shared, prayers will be said, and memorial candles will be available to light.
